Change in the Co-Presidency of Volt in Switzerland
Elena Allendörfer has informed the Board that she is stepping down from her role as Co-President of Volt Switzerland with effect from 6 October 2026. The Board has acknowledged her resignation and, at her own request, released her from all operational duties with immediate effect.
In a growing, volunteer-led movement, many dedicated individuals and ideas come together. Sustainable party work requires collaboration, internal leadership culture, and the safeguarding of dedicated volunteers to be in alignment. Over recent months, feedback from various teams and the Board made it clear that irreconcilable differences existed regarding operational processes, leadership approaches, and internal culture.
The Board has taken the protection and well-being of volunteers very seriously. Repeated offers and initiatives by the Board to resolve these tensions in a binding and structured manner through neutrally facilitated mediation were declined by Elena. We regret that a collaborative way forward could not be found, but respect her personal decision.
We thank Elena for the time, energy, and momentum she invested in the development and growth of our party, and wish her all the best for the future.
The Board will seamlessly continue day-to-day operations alongside our dedicated teams. Our full focus is now directed towards preparing for the upcoming political challenges and campaigns.
