Roland Müller
“I believe wholeheartedly in fact-based and progressive politics that give people hope. This is more important than ever, especially in the current climate.”
As early as Year 7, during a history lesson on post-war Europe, Rölu (*1997) was certain: Europe had overcome its deepest divisions to build a better society together and ensure that war would never happen again. What began as a deep conviction during his school days now shapes everything he does. Having grown up in Bern and now living in Zurich, he has turned this early vision into concrete action: since 2022, he has led the pan-European party Volt Switzerland as co-president.
By day, he works as an IT consultant for the digital workplace, operating at the intersection of innovation and practice. In the evenings, he devotes his energy to shaping a united, progressive continent. Rölu combines technological progress with a vision for society’s future. His key areas of focus are digitalisation, sustainability and strong, sustainable relations between Switzerland and the European Union. For him, one thing is clear: the major challenges of our time can only be solved together – for a Europe that moves forward with courage.
